Fall and falling behind

Gus recently learned to put words to his feelings, and his favorite of late is: "I'm angry." When uttered, he likes to jut out his jaw and point at nothing in particular--he just likes the forceful drama of the gesture. Anyway, perhaps a bit of his anger stems from the lack of updates to the blog. So to appease the anger gods, and maybe get Gus to broaden his vocabulary, here's a late update to the chronicles of Jack and Gus.

This side of paradise

With summer drawing to a close, Jack and Gus hit the road for a much-needed dose of family time. They traveled to Warsaw for some fun with the cousins and grandparents by the lake. A few weeks later, it was off to Brown County State Park for some hikes and cabin living. After that, the car headed to Saugatuck, Mich., to hit the beaches with his other cousins and Ummy and Bumpa. Finally, it was back to their trusty pad in Lexington, where they squeezed in a few last days in the sun before school's arrival.
